Validity
Statistically significant data needs to be valid, this means that it needs to be genuine and credible as well as have sufficient research behind it to support any relationship findings.
Reliability
Statistically significant data also needs to be reliable, this means that the results or findings should yield the same results if they were repeated, if the results are the same after repetition, then the data is reliable.
Sample size
Sample size is very important because there is an increased likelihood in obtaining data that is statistically significant data with a large enough or increased sample size. However, with a small sample size, statistical significance is harder to find, but when it is found in a small sized sample, the differences tend to be very noticeable and are more likely to drive action.
Usefulness
It is very important to use statistically significant data to draw out relationships, conclusions and results that are useful which means that they have a reason and meaning behind them and lead to other actions or help to correlate and make sense of other relationships.
